Coming soon...Shoe fitting and shoe care remedies

I've been meaning to actually do this blog post series, but work keeps getting in the way.  I just want to reaffirm that I really will do this series.  Instead of doing it over a week span, I will do one a week all of June.

By this weekend, I will have at least 1 post that addresses some of the common shoe problems faced by a lot of shoe lovers.  I've dealt with quite a few in my Shoe Doctor career.  Below is a preview of the questions I will be addressing.  If there is something not on the list, please leave a comment and I will add it!

1) My heel slips out of my shoe, so I'm forced to walk with tiny steps while trying to still look elegant.

2) My shoes have no cushioning whatsoever! By the end of the day, I’m limping around and with every step I’m muttering, “Ow. Ow. Ow!”

3) My shoe straps dig into my skin, after a few hours or minutes of wear, I start chanting to myself, “Just grin and bear it. Just grin and bear it...”

4) I need to protect my shoes from water and dirt. No way am I wearing them outside or at the club where they will probably get dirty!

5) My leather shoes have a dirt stain. They are ruin! It breaks my heart!

6) I bought shoes that are too small. I need to stretch them without having to pay too much money.

7) I bought shoes that are too big! I need to somehow shrink them to fit.

8) My shoes have been sitting around, unappreciated, in my closet for years and now they are stiff and crinkling.

9) I want to wear my heels at an outdoor function, but they sink into the grass so I'm forced to stay on the sidewalk while all my friends gather on the grassy area.

10) I’m afraid of slipping on the floor and falling flat on my face, which can lead to much embarrassment and hilarity.

11) I have no idea how to walk in high heels, I’m afraid of breaking my neck/legs/arms/body/teeth.

12) My shoes give me blisters! Which leads to ugly feet, and then I can’t show them off in sandals during the summer.

13) My patent shoes are scuffed! It looks like they got into a fight with other shoes.
